From time to time, I will have contests on Muse of the Morning. They will be pretty simple and I will honor my end, but just to keep it fair and above board, here are the rules. I reserve the right to change these rules at any time as needed.
I will never ever ever sell, rent, give away or otherwise willingly disperse your email address, name or other personal information to anyone. When entering a contest, it DOES NOT mean you are signing up for anything other than what it says on that exact page. It will not be used for adding to email lists, mailing lists, etc… or anything else. I want you to feel safe with your information on Muse of the Morning.
Who Is Eligible To Enter?
Everyone. As long as you’re following the rules, you can enter. Even if you won the last contest, even if you leave on the exact opposite side of the world from me. You can enter. Even if you’re not artsy or crafty!
Make A Comment Contests
Most often, contests on this site will be ones where visitors are invited to leave a comment answering a question. Once the contest is over, a winner will be picked by entering the number of comments into random.org and then counting down to the number that it spits back out. One entry is allowed per person. If an answer is not given, the comment will be disregarded and a new winner will be chosen. I retain the right to delete any entry for any reason, including but not limited to obscene, perverse or rude language, or just not playing very nice.
Please Note: By submitting a comment, you give permission to Muse of the Morning and its owner to use it however we see fit on the site- although we will remove the name if desired.
In addition, an additional entry *may* be given for following the blog. If this is so, it will be noted in the contest post. IF this additional entry is allowed, the entrant must also follow the leave a comment instructions to be eligible for the second entry and the comment may be used as stated above.
Submit A Photo Contests
For this contest, I will set up a special flickr group for entrants to upload their photos too. Sometimes I will be the sole judge, sometimes I might ask another blogger or two to judge, sometimes I might even ask visitors to the site to judge!
Submitted photos should be clear and well-taken. Composition will be just as important as the subject. Photos with watermarks or other added elements will be disregarded. By submitting a photo, you give me the right to alter and/or display the image as I see fit. Credit will always be given.
Please Note that winning photos will most likely be used online in some aspect for as long as I want to use them.
Once A Winner Is Chosen
Once the contest ends, I will email the winner at the email address they listed to obtain their mailing address. If the winner does not email back with the requested information within 3 days, they forfeit the right to the prize. As soon as the winner emails their address, I will mail them the prize stated in the contest blog entry.
